If your looking to enjoy nature in the Smokies, the waterfalls are one of the most majestic sites your family will experience.  Well worth a day to explore with a picnic lunch and memories of your family hiking, identifying wildlife and taking in the beauty of the Smokies.  Visit the Great Smoky Mountain National Park   link for more info about all to do in the great outdoors!

Fall is Just Around the Corner in the Smokies

Fall In the Smokies, its one of the most beautiful times of the year in this magical place.  If you have to ask what my favorites times of year in the Smokies are, they would be...

1.  Christmas in the Smokies
2.  Fall in the Smokies
3.  Anytime it snows its beautiful

But, Fall is just around the corner and to get you, our fans in the mood, we have included a video of the brilliance of the leaves as they change color throughout the Smokies.  So take a few moments to enjoy the video and then go to our Calendar and start making plans for which dates you would like to come to the Smokies and take in this breathtaking event.  Our rates at the Beary Blessed Cabin  are very reasonable at only $99 per night, with rates this low you can afford to spend several days and enjoy the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area.

Rainbops, Beehive Outlet Store and the Smoky Mountains

OK, the last post was geared more toward the men, but this post is all about you girls!  One of my favorite shops in the Smokies is the beehive, located close to Smoky Mountain Knife Works.  This shop is filled with pocketbooks, jewelry, bows, accessories, and most importantly Rainbops!  Rainbops are those colorful boots that are all the rage now, by watching the video below you will be able to see a few pair of them and by visiting the store you can personally try a pair on and wonder how you ever lived without a pair of these.  Its a store I usually spend at least an hour in, if not more, so many things to look at and most of all the prices are reasonable.  So while the fellows are at Knife Works, you can be at the beehive, then off to the new Russell Stover Candy Outlet for some tasty treats, sounds like another wonderful afternoon in the Smokies to me!

Smoky Mountain Knife Works

Looking for something interesting to do with the whole family, or maybe just the men and boys in your family want to go out and do the man thing, then they are sure to love the Smoky Mt. Knife Works.  Thousands of knives to check out and a museum of knives for viewing from knives that were used in our military branches, to boy scout knives.  Zippo lighters, swords and many more things in the Smoky Mt. Knife Works to choose from as gifts for the men in your lives.  Some jams and jellies, a few toys and a few other things round the store out to an adventure that one must see if coming to the Smokies.   Don't forget to check out the Russell Stover Candy Outlet just down the road with the oodles of goodies you are sure to be drooling over.

Waterfalls & Wildflowers in the Smokies

For those of you who want to see some of the Smokies beauty such as waterfalls and wildflowers, but do not want to walk 6 miles to do so, then check out the Deep Creek area on the NC side of the Smokies.  While your there be sure to check out the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad and make a day of it, a very fun filled day on the NC side of the Smokies, something different than the strips in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Be sure to reserve your dates at our Cozy Cabin to come home to and snuggle up after a fun filled day exploring the Smokies of Tennessee.
