Mountain Life Festival at Oconaluftee Museum in Great Smoky Mountains

Experience old-time mountain ways at the annual Mountain Life Festival, held at Oconaluftee Mountain Farm Museum every September. Living history demonstrations will get you in touch with the many activities that kept people in this area busy, like making molasses, apple cider, apple butter, cornbread, and greens, and crafting brooms and rugs. The Mountain Farm Museum is located two miles north of Cherokee, NC on US 441 (Newfound Gap Road) in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
