The Fall Colors of Great Smoky Mountains

A lot of people who come to the Great Smoky Mountains to enjoy the leaves as they change color, want to know several different things.

1.  When is the best time to come?  It varies from year to year based on the weather conditions in the area, but normally in the higher elevations you can see the leaves changing color in late September. Usually around the 3rd and 4th week of October and the first week of November the lower elevations will show their colors.

We still have Fall Dates Available with Specials at Beary Blessed Cabin

Total Price $280.00(Includes Ntly Rate, Taxes and Cleaning Fee)
September 27, 28
October 25, 26
December 22, 23

Total Price $390.00(Includes Ntly Rate, Taxes and Cleaning Fee)
October 4, 5, 6
November 1, 2, 3
November 6, 7, 8
November 13, 14, 15      Winterfest in Smokies Begin November 9th this Year

2. Many ask where is the best places to see the leaves as they change colors?  Higher elevations such as Clingmans Dome and Mt. LeConte offer some spectacular views!  Don't forget to get up close with nature to see some of the beauty of fall as you take some Hiking Trails and be engulfed in a canopy of leaves.  One of the most popular ways to enjoy fall in the Great Smoky Mountains is the beautiful motor tour of Cades Cove or drive Newfound Gap Road.  Or you can be real adventurous and take a Scenic Helicopter Ride and see it from a whole different viewpoint.

3.  What is the weather like during the Fall in the Smokies?  September temperatures during the day can average still in the 80's.  October temperatures average during the day of around 70 and the evenings in the 40's to 50's. So I always like to tell visitors coming to the Smokies during this time of year, be prepared with a lightweight jacket or sweater for the mornings, short sleeves during the day and maybe a little heavier jacket(keyword jacket, not coat) during the late evening hours. Temperatures vary greatly in October, so be prepared.

 4.  Where can I get a great nightly rate on a cabin for our family, that will not break the bank?  Our Affordable Smoky Mountain Cabin Rental offers great low rates and payment plan options for stays made in advance, year round.  Cabin offers 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, great location between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, a hot tub, jacuzzi, pool table, fireplace, 60 arcade game in one, DirecTV and so much more for your family to enjoy!  Oh yea, don't forget our September, October, and November Specials listed above to save even more for some of our last available dates in 2016!  Come enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains like never before during Fall of the year.
